Ducks sweep EWU
The University of Oregon (10-4) exntended its season high win streak to 8 games with a sweep of conference rival Eastern Washington University. The Ducks got off to a fast start and took game one 10-3. Scott Marchione led the way with three doubles as he drove in 4 runs while Quentin Clark was perfect going 4-4 with a double. Corey Johnson helped the cause by going 3-3 at the plate. Game 2 featured more solid hitting by Marchione as he drove in three and scored twice while the only other player to collect two hits was Vince Hulstrom. Oregon collected 10 walks in the game en route to a 12-5 beatdown. Game three saw the Ducks squander some early opportunities but Bryan Hansen held EWU to one run over 7 innings while striking out 8 and allowing 3 hits. The Ducks will travel to Seattle To play Seattle University next weekend. Last year Oregon lost two of three and this season they will head to Seattle with something to prove.
