Matt Zabriskie, the starting third baseman for the University of Oregon Club Baseball team, was named a 3rd Team All-American recently by the National Club Baseball Association. Zabriskie, a junior from Corvallis, Oregon, was a constant contributor for the Ducks during their run to a fifth consecutive Northern-Pacific Regional title last year. He hit for a .475 average with 23 RBI’s and 25 runs scored, and the team in on base percentage (.597) and OPS (1.224) as well. Zabriskie will return to the Ducks for one final season in 2008-09 in hopes to secure the national championship that has so far eluded them.
